Billabong Sanctuary

Townsville, Queensland, Australia

Townsville is home to the Billabong Sanctuary which houses over 100 species of Australian animals especially those of North Queensland. Set on 25 acres of natural bushland, there are examples of rainforest, wetlands and eucalypt woodlands. There is naturally a large billabong and there are plenty of opportunities to have a photograph with some of the residents, such as a koala, wombat, python or small croc. Reviewer: Paula Duggan
