Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens

Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mount Coot-tha are set of 52 hectares of well maintained gardens. Only 15 minutes from the city, there is ample parking and well serviced by public transport.

There are many displays and these gardens have native and exotic plants. This is more than a botanic garden, it is like an adventure land with many walks through the different areas such as the 27 hectares of native plants complete with lake, herb gardens, Japanese gardens, rainforests, as well as an arid zone and cactus house, bonsai house and fern house.

To keep the kids amused there is a Hide-n- Seek Children’s Trail set in the tropical rain forest where there is plenty of shade. The Lagoon area is home to many water plants, turtles, water dragons and birds. There is also a Planetarium and Botanical Gardens Library.

A restaurant is open for all meals is catering can be arranged for special functions and picnic areas are good with shelter and drinking fountain. The toilet facilities are clean and well located. Located at Mount Coot-tha this is a great day out for everyone.
