Unlike it’s Virginia counterpart, the Florida-based Busch Gardens Tampa, is themed with an eye to recreating the kinds of experiences you would have on an authentic African safari. As a result, the park is filled with all kinds of exotic animal exhibits. However, this amazing park is far more than a zoo as it is filled with precisely the kinds of adventures that are sure to captivate even the most stoic of imaginations. What is more, if it is thrills you are after, then you certainly will not be disappointed.
One of the biggest thrills in the park, or in any park, some say, is the Sheikra. This amazing roller coaster has no floor and it takes you just over the edge of a completely vertical, 61 metre (200 feet) drop … and stays there! You are then staring straight down at the ground before you are sent plummeting towards it at over 112 kmph (70 mph)!
If you are looking for milder ride experiences, there are plenty of those as well. In addition, there are some spectacular shows and exquisite dining. The Crown Colony restaurant is not to be missed, and it offers a spectacular view while you munch!
