Williamsburg, Virginia, United States of America
This Virginia theme park, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, is based on the objective of an imaginary trip around Europe. Many theme park enthusiasts say that it features some of the most amazing experiences of any theme park in the United States.
One of those experiences is the Alpengeist. Time and again, roller coaster fans have selected this ride as one of the world’s top 10 steel roller coasters. After ascending to a 60 metre (195 foot) maximum height, the coaster takes riders through six inversions at a maximum speed of no less than 108 kmph (67 mph). The ride’s name means ‘ghost of the Alps’.
There are lots of great shows at this park too. One of them is called Celtic Fyre. It celebrates Irish culture and is filled with music, stories and dancing. The 25 minute show is set in an Irish Inn and guests feel as though they become part of the magic as various facets of daily life in Ireland are celebrated. Busch Gardens is also known for the spectacular dining options which it offers.
