Camden Markets

London, England, United Kingdom

The Camden Markets are one of the most popular markets in the city as well as being one of the biggest open air and indoor markets. The markets were established by the Camden canal and lock in 1974 and have grown to be one of the most popular places for tourists and locals to shop for alternative fashion as well as fresh foods and crafts. In the past the markets were reserved for the weekends, but there are now stalls opening up seven days a week.

Along with the huge variety of stalls, there is also a lot of local street entertainment on offer, which makes visiting the market a real experience. Along with Portobello Road, Camden Markets is one of the very best in the city. You can get there by taking the Northern Line of the Tube to either Camden or Chalk Farm.
