Cape Byron Lighthouse

Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia

The Cape Byron Lighthouse at Byron Bay is located at Australia’s most easterly point on the mainland and is also Australia’s most powerful lighthouse.

It is 3 kms east of the town and is easily accessible by foot which is advisable as, being a major attraction, parking close to the lighthouse can be a problem. The view is spectacular and the lighthouse is now used for whale watching.

There are over 500,000 visitors per year.
