Sandusky, Ohio’s Cedar Point has a multitude of claims to fame. For starters, it is the only theme park with four roller coasters that are each more than 61 metres (200 feet) tall. Perhaps even more impressive is that it has more rides than any other amusement park in the world, with a total of 75. Amusement Today magazine has named it the “Best Amusement Park in the World” every year for over a decade.
Shoot The Rapids is a particularly inventive water ride. It has two drops with one being over 24 metres (80 feet), a tunnel and other surprising water features.
In addition to the spectacular rides at Cedar Point, there are some great shows. One, in particular, is way off the beaten path for theme park shows, which is delightful. It is an extreme biking show and is 25 minutes long. During that 25 minutes, the skaters, bikers and tumblers will appear to defy gravity right before your very eyes. This show is right next to Planet Snoopy, so make sure to stop by there before or after the show if you have kids.
