Coventry, Warwickshire, United Kingdom
Coventry Cathedral was built in the 14th century and was mostly destroyed in the bombing raids during World War II. The 303-foot-tall St. Michael’s spire is the third tallest in England. The new cathedral was opened in 1962, designed by Sir Basil Spence. The ruins of the old cathedral are still open for exploration and make for an interesting comparison to the newer cathedral which stands next to it. Reviewer: Adam Croft
