The coast of Greece has been known for its unique beauty dating back thousands of years and the beaches in Crete may well be the best beaches in all of Greece. As the largest and most populated island in Greece, Crete boasts a magnificent coastline and draws in large numbers of tourists annually.

The area was the ancient home to one of the first civilization in all of Europe and there is much to see for those interested in historical and archeological sites. Vai Beach is the cream of the crop among the Cretan beaches and the beach is known as one of the most beautiful locations in all of Europe. Located nearby the largest Palm forest in Europe, Vai Beach is surrounding by rolling green hills and light blue waters that make this place a remarkable sight to see.

The location of the island gives it a comfortable Mediterranean climate year round and tourism here continues to grow rapidly as more tourists flock here to enjoy the pristine white sandy shores.

With great historical and archeological sites and one of the best beaches in the world, tourism is sure to be a huge draw for years to come in Crete.
