Cyfarthfa Castle is the former home of the Crawshay family and was built in the 1800s. There is now a small secondary school and local history museum on the site, whilst the castle grounds are popular when the weather is dry and cover 158 acres of woodland, children’s parks and a small lake. The Crawshay family were historical ironmasters of Cyfarthfa Ironworks. Reviewer: Adam Croft
