Disneyland Park is located in the Disneyland Paris resort, and at its opening in 1992 was named Euro Disneyland. It is the first of the two Disneyland Paris parks, and it has the honour of being the most visited theme park in Europe, and fourth in the world. This park is divided into five ‘lands’: Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Discoveryland and Main Street, USA. Originally, Discoveryland was to be Tomorrowland, but the theme shifted to be retro-futuristic rather than simply futuristic. As with all Disney parks, a spectacular attention to detail is paid to each of their 49 attractions.
One popular attraction is the famous Space Mountain. Disneyland Park’s spin on the classic roller coaster has been dubbed the best of the Space Mountains. It is certainly more aggressive. Many consider the Big Thunder Mountain Railway to be at the top as well. One feature of note is that the ride vehicle travels under a lake via a tunnel twice.
While many of the rides are simply versions of the Disney World classics, Disneyland Park is certainly well worth the visit.
