Disneyland, also known as the Magic Kingdom, was the Walt Disney Company’s first theme park. Up until the point when it was built, amusement parks mostly operated on a pay-per-ride basis. Walt wanted to create a park where you could pay one admission price and ride all of the rides as much as you wanted to. He also wanted the rides to be those which the entire family could enjoy together. Needless to say, this formula was a great success. Of course, a Disney park isn’t just about the rides, there are also great shows.
When it comes to great rides, though, some of the biggest hits are the ones they call the “Mountains”. First and foremost, there is Space Mountain. It is a roller coaster in a dark building with space objects projected onto the ceiling. Next is Big Thunder Mountain. This is a mild but fun outdoor, steel roller coaster with a great atmosphere. Last but not least, there is Splash Mountain, which is a combination indoor and outdoor water ride with a stunning drop at the end. All of these rides have similar versions at the company’s other facilities.

Kids will love it.
