Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the Walt Disney Company’s execution of the zoological theme park model. As with all of their other parks, they have done a spectacular job. The park is divided into four themed sections, with the Asia section being home to the park’s most harrowing adventure, Expedition Everest. This is a roller coaster inside a mountain guarded by the fabled yeti, whom riders encounter twice. At one point, you see that the track in front of you has been torn and bent up, and careen backwards through the mountain in the dark. There are plenty of milder riding options in this park also.
In addition to the rides, there are some great shows here. Finding Nemo: The Musical is one of the most spectacular, indoor productions at any theme park in the world. Combining high tech puppetry, aerial stunts and other types of special effects, the story of the popular movie is told in an unforgettable way.
Festival of the Lion King is another outstanding show at Animal Kingdom. It features former Olympic gymnasts performing stunts in the show.
