Disney’s Hollywood Studios was the third park built at this company’s Florida complex and is one of four theme parks in the Walt Disney World Resort. As far as Disney parks go, this one has some of the more thrilling rides.
One ride is called the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith. This ride takes off at an initial launch of zero to over 96 kmph (60 mph) in 2.8, mimicking the force of a supersonic F-14. It sends riders in ‘limousines’ hurtling through an indoor maze of neon and swooping through three inversions. All this happens whilst rock and roll music is boomed out through and excellent set of speakers.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror certainly lives up to its name. The elevator you ride in seems to move in all directions before plummeting 13 stories, shooting back up and doing both again … an unpredictable number of times!
Shows are a big deal at this park, too. Beauty And the Beast: Live on Stage is good enough for Broadway, and Fantasmic! is easily the most spectacular, outdoor, night-time show anywhere. It combines lasers, water, pyrotechnics and other types of special effects to create one of Disney’s greatest masterpieces of live entertainment. If you go see this, arrive early; seating fills up fast. It has been recommended to obtain a vantage point at least an hour ahead of time.
