Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, primarily appeals to families with children. The self-proclaimed theme of the park is A Kingdom for Kids.
Besides the plethora of kiddies’ rides sure to delight the youngest members of your party, there are also several rides that people of all ages can enjoy together. There are simply no hair-raising thrill rides.
Among the family ride offerings are a very large riverboat and some log flumes, which are always a hit with everyone. The most intense rides are fun, but still fairly mild and are known as ‘family coasters’. One is called the Joust and another is called the Kingdom Coaster.
If your tots are fans of Thomas & Friends, then they will find the featured, live entertainment made to order. The whole gang is here for singing, dancing and laughter galore.
There is also a show called Beyond the Castle Walls, which is based on the book of the same name. Strolling musical entertainment is provided by the Wonderers and is not to be missed. Many guests consider their performances to be a highlight of the day!
