Essel World is a large theme park in Mumbai, India, which boasts over 10,000 visitors every day. Opened in 1986, there are 34 major attractions, not including water rides. In fact, Essel World actually consists of two parks, Essel World proper and Water Kingdom, a water park. The park is set amidst jungle greenery and guests can marvel over exotic flowers and birds.
There is a mix of roller coasters and family-friendly attractions, so Essel World certainly offers something for everyone. There is also a ice skating rink, a bowling alley and a dance floor.
At India’s largest theme park, families can enjoy the Aqua Dive. A water roller coaster, it is actually the only water ride in Essel World. All of the others are located in Water Kingdom.
Thrill seekers should line up for the Hoola-Loop, a roller coaster that reaches a speed of 100 kmph (62 mph), the loop is sure to leave a smile on each rider’s face … after they have finished screaming!
For kids, try the Rio Grande train. This train ride passes through a rock valley and children simply love the trip.
