Faneuil Hall

Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America

One of the most popular places to visit in America, Faneuil Hall is a magnet for people who want a great day of shopping and dining, with a dash of history thrown in. A stop along the Freedom Trail, Faneuil is an historic building dating from 1742. Most people visit it for the food hall within. There are 100 stalls lining each side of the building where visitors can purchase food to take out, including Boston’s famous clam chowder. If you walk up to the second floor you will be standing where famous U.S. senators have given historic speeches and you will be able to listen to the Park Rangers give educational talks. Outside visitors can stroll along the cobblestone pathway to go shopping, sit on a park bench to watch street performers, and buy souvenirs at outdoor stalls. This is a great part of the city to come to for the nightlife.
