Fashion Museum, Bennett St, Bath Located within the lavish Assembly Rooms, this museum has an incredible collection of costumes dating back to the 18th century. Temporary exhibitions have included Lady Diana’s dresses and fashion in the 50s. There is a collection of corsets, some of which look highly uncomfortable and make one feel rather relieved contemporary clothing is far less rigid. Since 1963, each year the museum asks a fashion representative to pick a ‘Dress of the Year’ to be displayed. Last year the editor of Harper’s Bazaar chose an Antonio Berardi dress worn by Gwyneth Paltrow at a film premiere. There are plenty of other dresses to drool over. Reviewer: Leila Hawkins
