Gardaland

Verona, Italy

Gardaland, which opened in the late 1970s, is the most popular theme park in all of Italy. Amongst its 32 rides, six are roller coasters.

One of those roller coasters is the Blue Tornado, an inverted steel roller coaster. The over 762 metres (2,500 feet) long track features a sidewinder, a double in-line twist and a rollover. It ends with several fast helix manoeuvres very close to ground level.

Another, more traditional steel roller coaster at Gardaland is called Magic Mountain. Its main elements include a double loop and a helix that rises. The ride lasts exactly two minutes.

There is also a magnificent aquarium on this property. The aquarium features a succession of spectacularly-themed environments. In these, which are perfect recreations of natural habitats, guests will have the opportunity to get up-close and personal with some of the most impressive creatures from the sea. One recent addition to that aquatic menagerie is the jellyfish. You enter a room where you are surrounded by all different types and colours of these interesting creatures.
