With staff wearing period costumes and historically accurate buildings, visitors will be charmed by the atmosphere. Having at least 10 thrill rides, adrenaline junkies are sure to enjoy a good time.
The Golden Loop will take passengers on an intense ride, going from zero to 85 kmph (53 mph) in approximately three seconds. This ride is also known for its loss of gravity at points. Also, the Anaconda is the current record holder for the fastest and tallest, inverted roller coaster in Africa.
Gold Reef City has more to offer than thrill rides, of course. Take a ride in the log flumes, brave the River Rapids and be sure to check out the children’s area.
For those who are not keen on thrill rides, guests can enjoy such attractions as a vintage wheel and some lazy boats. Be sure to stop in at the gold mining museum, and learn about the history of Gold Reef City.
