Guangzhou International Finance Centre is one of the tallest buildings in the World. So not only is it a fabulous tourist destination in China, it is also evidence of the new economic engine that is the Chinese economy.
The skyscraper houses a conference center, shopping mall, observation deck, offices and a luxurious Four Seasons Hotel. The hotel is spectacular in and of itself, with a lobby on the 70th floor, and a soaring 30 story atrium. The very top floor has a restaurant and bar, and there is a helipad for guests to come and go from on the top of the tower. Every room takes advantage of the incredible views, with floor to ceiling windows.
The building is located in Pearl River New City and is beautifully reflected in the nearby Pearl river. The surrounding neighborhood is filled with fine restaurants, shops and museums, including the Guangzhou Opera House, making the skyscraper’s location yet another reason for visiting it. This lovely area has a rich array of activities, festivals, and fairs for tourists to enjoy and learn more about Chinese culture, including the Flower Fairs, Lychee Festival, International Gourmet Festival, Dragon Boat Festival on the river, and the Polo Temple Fair (celebrating the birth of polo!).
