Haigh’s Chocolates Visitor Centre

Adelaide, South Australia, Australia

If you are even half the chocolate lover that I am, you will be in heaven with a visit to Haigh’s Chocolates Visitor Centre. The centre is just a few minutes from the Adelaide CBD and is an Adelaide institution having been making chocolates locally since 1915. There are free tours of the factory at 11am, 1:00pm and 2:00pm, but it is a good idea to ring and book your place ahead of time. After the tour of the factory, you can take in heritage displays and enjoy free tea and coffee and chocolate tastings. The chocolate tasting on offer features an array of fine quality chocolates fresh from the production line – some of which are not widely available. In the retail store, there are factory discounts as well as access to products that are not available elsewhere and discontinued product lines. This is a cheap day out and a lot of fun if you have a sweet tooth. The visitor’s centre is located at 154 Greenhill Road, Parkside.
