Located at Ligonier, Pennsylvania, Idlewild has been recognised by industry authorities as the best children’s park in the entire world. It is not just for kids, though. It’s accompanied by Soak Zone and it also has its fair share of rides that can be enjoyed by guests of all ages.
For example, there is Paul Bunyan’s Loggin’ Toboggan. The log boats you ride on float on swift moving water through some beautiful scenery before making a 38 metre (125 feet) climb to the top of a tower that is nine metres (30 feet) high. The splash at the bottom is great fun for everybody!
When it comes to live shows, the big feature here is Cirque Extreme. Inside an arena, you will witness the acrobatics of some amazing aerialists as they soar the skies above. The zany animal cast of this show will keep you in stitches also with some madcap mayhem of their own! You will also observe some breathtaking feats of human agility, not the least of which is the flight of a human cannonball! All of this adds of to an experience that will not soon be forgotten.
