Although Las Vegas has gambling as its major draw, there are so many other reasons to visit this electrifying city in the desert. It is a city passionate about entertaining you. So from the moment you step into your hotel, it starts. Hotels in Las Vegas are spectacular, outdoing each other for the most glitz, glamour and fun.

They even have entertaining dining, from long all you can eat buffets to celebrity chefs making you souffles. They have shopping arcades that will dazzle even the most jaded shopper. They have Broadway shows just off the lobby. They have exquisite pools with waterfalls and swim up bars. There is one that even has a canal in the middle of it with gondoliers to push your gondola!

Go to Las Vegas and you will feel as if you have traveled the world. There is a hotel shaped like a pyramid. They have a copy of the Eiffel Tower. They have New York City landmarks. Amazing Las Vegas!

1. There's more to it than meets the eye

   When we arrived we both hated Vegas, the noise, the hoards of people, and the electric shocks from everything we touched, but by the end of our stay we loved it. Its not just big hotels and gambling, there’s Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, and the mighty Grand Canyon on a day trip, it’s a really diverse place to visit.
   
   

2. Fun Place to Spend a Few Days

   If you're in the Western US, you simply can't pass up visiting Vegas, and not just for all the fancy hotels & casino's. The restaurants in Las Vegas are simply phenominal, and are as ood as if not better than restaurants in New York, San Francisco & many other cities with excellent cuisine. Many activities besides gambling---helicopter tours of the Grand Canyon & a night helicopter tour of Las Vegas were among the best views we'd experienced.

   I went with zero expectation and shocked that I enjoyed it! A real Adult playground. The gambling I ignored but the shows, the food and the lights I enjoyed. Side trips to the Grand Canyon and Red Rock Canyon were well worth taking.
   
   

4. Shows are the best part

   We don't gamble, we are not neon light people but we liked Las Vegas! Why.. the shows were excellent and we managed so many. Tickets were easy to obtain but not many big discounts. There are cheap last minute ticket places and we did go there each morning to check out the deals. One of the best was the Rat Pack in the original Golden Nugget Casino in the old strip and gives a feel of what the original Las Vegas was like.
