Legoland California is located in Carlsbad. It is Lego-themed, but not fully owned by the Lego company. There are roller coasters in this park, but they are not as numerous or extreme as they would be in some other places. Rather, the focus here is on attractions that can be fully enjoyed by even the youngest park guests. For example, in a section of the park known as Dino Island, there is a ride called Coastersaurus. The track for this ride dips and curves around some giant dinosaurs made of Lego. Kids can even dig for “dinosaur bones” nearby.
Even the water rides at Legoland California adhere to the Lego theme. One of them is called Fairy Tale Brook, and it is a boat ride that floats past giant Lego models of scenes from various fairy tales.
Safari Trek, which is close by, is a similar concept. Instead of a boat, of course, you will be aboard a safari vehicle and see giant Lego models of animals.
Another highlight of a trip to Legoland is that you can actually tour a Lego factory and see how the famous toys are made.
