Goteborg, Sweden
Sweden’s Liseberg opened in the 1920s. Since then, it has become the most visited amusement park in all of Scandinavia. Forbes magazine has even recognised it as one of the top 10 amusement parks in the entire world.
One of the most popular rides here is called Balder. It has been recognised in several major international polls as the finest wooden roller coaster in the world. This is not because it is the fastest, nor the biggest, but because it is designed with the goal in mind of giving riders the most aerial time possible. As anyone who has ridden it can tell you, it succeeds in that goal.
Many of Sweden’s biggest stars appear at Liseberg, and these performances are always included with the price of admission. What is more, virtually all of the performing arts have been represented here, including music, dance, comedy, magic and more. One of the venues for these performances is the historic Liseberg Theatre, and another is the notable Rondo.
Liseberg has one many prestigious awards within the theme park industry, in recognition of the quality of entertainment offered here.
