Seoul, South Korea
In Seoul, South Korea, Lotte World is the planet’s biggest, indoor theme park. Being indoors, it can stay open all year around.
One of the most popular attractions here is called Gyro Drop. It was the first ‘freefall’ attraction in Korea. It only takes two seconds to fall 70 metres (230 feet) on this tower, but it feels like a lot longer than that to most guests. It actually creates the feeling of complete weightlessness, which many people find quite thrilling. No-one knows exactly when the ride vehicle is going to take the plunge, which can be scary.
For live entertainment, Lotte World offers guests two main options. Firstly, there is a night-time spectacular known as the Galactic Odyssey Laser Show. During the day-time, the main attraction is Lotty’s Adventure Parade. Part show and part fantastic party, this impressive affair features the main theme park mascots in a thrilling grand adventure that has to be seen to be believed. During the Christmas season, the parade takes on an appearance geared to the holidays.
