Margaret River, Western Australia, Australia
A trip to Margaret River would not be complete without a visit to Mammoth Cave. Five hundred metres long and over 30 metres deep, there are many formations to see including the ‘Karri Forest’ and the ‘Mammoth Shawl’. Many chambers are to be found and there are lots of fossils of long extinct animals to be seen. There is an elevated boardwalk and MP3 audio headsets to guide you and inform you of the multiple wonders of the cave and surrounding area. The Mammoth cave is open seven days a week, except for Christmas Day, and is located 20kms south of Margaret River.
