Muncaster Castle has all the usual features you expect to find in a stately home or castle but, for us, the highlight of our visit was the incredible display put on by the owls during their ‘Meet the Birds’ display session. If you combine an appreciation of their almost spooky, silent flight with a visit to the ‘Meadow Vole Maze’, you begin to get a real sense of how terrifying these birds must be to the small scurrying creatures in the grass.
