Originally a Six Flags park, Parque Warner Madrid is divided into five themed areas. One of those is dedicated to the character of DC Comics. This section is home to two of the park’s most popular rides, Batman and Superman.
The Batman ride is an inverted steel roller coaster, which means that riders’ feet dangle free, and the track is over their heads. Thus, during an inversion, riders see nothing more than open sky. On the Superman ride, passengers dangle beneath the track horizontally. Although this is similar to the inverted coaster, different sensations are created. They’re both quite thrilling.
The park has some excellent live entertainment, including an abbreviated performance of the popular Broadway musical, Hairspray! In this show, the story is told of a young lady who, though overweight, lives her dream of appearing on the Corny Collins Show. The music from this show is very catchy, and there is lots of great comedy too. The show also has a positive, uplifting message.
