Spain’s PortAventura is about an hour’s drive south of Barcelona. It is one of the top 10 theme parks in Europe. There are also two hotels and a water park on the property.
One of the most popular rides in the park is called Dragon Khan. It features weight inversion, one of which is a 34 metre (118 feet) loop. Legend has it that the dragon after whom this ride was named would unleash its fury if any human ever dared to climb on its back. If you dare to climb on board this amazing roller coaster, you will most definitely feel that fury for yourself!
FiestAventura is a spectacular night-time show. If you are there on a night when it is being perfomed, it is an absolute must-see and is worth finding a good viewing spot along the Mediterrania Lake early, as the show is worth the wait. Once it starts, you will see amazing fireworks, laser effects and water projections. If you have never seen a show with water projections before, imagine a giant fan of water with images being projected onto it.
