I’ll be honest, after seeing a few palaces and a few dozen cathedrals; many attractions seem to blend together in your mind when in the road. The Royal Palace of Madrid however sticks out because of the grand scale and gorgeous finish work that has been meticulously maintained throughout the years. The lines will be long in the summer months and getting here early will go a long way in making your experience more enjoyable. The opulence and of the palace is stunning and the tour also includes a trip through the armory which is equally as thought provoking.
This has to be one of the top Palaces in Europe and while it is not necessary to tour every palace in every city, this one in particular is a must see. There are also a number of nearby attractions, making it easy to have a full day of entertainment nearby.
