Royal Park Roveri Golf Club

Turin, Italy

Turin, “the Capital of the Alps” has rich history, magnificent architecture and fine restaurants. It is also home to Fiat, Juventas FC and the Royal Park I Roveri. The I Roveri Golf & Sports Club was designed and created by world renowned golfer and architect, Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1971. The course initially consisted of 27-holes, subtly crafted through the dense wooded parkland surroundings of mature oak and birches, with the mountains forming a scenic backdrop.

Winding its way through the woodland area on a slightly undulating terrain, the layout consists of well-manicured quick rolling greens and wide fairways lined with ancient trees. Trent Jones left his trademark with typically bold bunkering; water obstacles in the form of lakes and streams, and the natural vegetation and shrubs sprouting from the undulating landscape, offering a formidable and tactical golfing challenge to all standards of golfers.  The course was further extended with an additional eighteen hole course designed by the award winning duo of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. The clubhouse is an elegantly appointed structure with all the conveniences expected of a top modern club and the area surrounding it is filled with colourful flowering shrubs and water features.  Royal Park also boasts an excellent dining facility with a wonderful wine list which includes many of the regions classic wines.
