Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California, follows the increasingly popular formula of combining a theme park with a zoological attraction.
In keeping with that theme, the parks inverted, looping roller coaster is called Kong. This ride features over 610 metres (2,000 feet) of track that sends riders through a single, sidewinder inversion that approaches 90 degrees, a double inversion rollover and a 360 degree roll.
The animal exhibits at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom are all quite spectacular, too. One of the most thrilling of these is called Odin’s Temple of the Tiger. This attraction gets you so close to these magnificent beasts that many guests find it a bit frightening.
The rides and animal exhibits would be entertainment enough, but the fun does not end there. There are some great live shows as well. These entertainment offerings feature both human actors and our furry friends. One such show is called Extreme Wilderness and its cast teaches guests how to survive in the wild. Another of these shows takes place in the Temple of the Tiger.
