Los Angeles, California, United States of America
This attraction in Valencia, California, originally opened in 1971. Like many of its sister parks, it added a water park section, Hurricane Harbor, in 1995. The park, as a whole, encompasses more than 1,052,182 square metres (260 acres) and boasts more than 100 rides and attractions. Among these rides and attractions is the largest number of roller coasters of any single theme park on the planet. During a visit here, coaster enthusiasts will be delighted to discover that no less than 18 of these thrilling adventures are waiting to flip them and drop them at record speeds and heights.
One of those 18 roller coasters is called Superman: Escape From Krypton. As if reaching speeds of over 160 kmph (100 mph) is not thrilling enough by itself, riders are ‘flying’ face first on this ride and there is a section that flies backwards!
In addition to the roller coasters and water park, there are also some particularly creative options at Six Flags Magic Mountain when it comes to live entertainment. One of those is called Hypnotic Magic, which comprises a comedy stage hypnotism show that is sure to leave your whole family in hysterics.
