Sydney Harbour Ferry

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

No visit to Sydney would be complete without taking a ferry out on the harbour crossing over to Manly or any other destination from Circular Quay. Since 1789, locals have been crossing the harbour on ferries and it is a way of life for many Sydney locals who use it as public transportation each day. All Sydney ferries depart from and arrive at Circular Quay in Sydney’s CBD. For just a couple of dollars paid on your ferry fare, you can get a tour of one of the world’s most spectacular harbours. It is a great idea to combine the ferry trip with a visit to Taronga Park Zoo, or to take the Manly Ferry and explore the north shore beaches for the day. There are several locations that the ferries go to throughout the day including – Manly, Taronga Zoo, Darling Harbour, Cockatoo Island, Watsons Bay, Balmain, Parramatta, Neutral Bay and Double Bay. You can buy single tickets, or buy a combined ticket, which also allows transport on local buses and trains.
