The Holocaust Memorial Berlin

This is a popular tourist stop for travelers heading through Berlin and what makes this attraction so haunting, is knowing the details of why the memorial exists. Though the tour is very good for the cost of just 3 Euros, it is hard to grasp the events that took place and the massive amount of people affected by these events. The concrete blocks sit as a cold reminder of the atrocities committed by the Nazi regime. Upon our exploration of the site it was rather quiet and I would recommend coming at these low traffic times to evoke the proper thought and reflection of such an attraction. The underground portion of the memorial tells the stories while guests sit in amazement. This is an essential part of the tour and puts the memorial in proper context. Come early and make sure to check out the underground level, this is a cheap and meaningful attraction.
