The White House

Washington DC, United States of America

User Rating     : 5 out of 5

You will be amazed how small the White House is when you first see it compared to what it looks like on television. In order to take a tour of the White House, you have to make a special request from your US senator for tickets. Non US citizens can request tickets for a White House tour from their country’s embassy in Washington DC. Tickets must be requested at least six months in advance. It is well worth all the effort to view the most exquisite American antiques, to be inside one of the most historic buildings in the country if not the world, and to say you were there! If you get to go, make sure to take a look at the grounds outside as well which include the White House vegetable garden. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington DC

You simply cannot visit DC without visiting the White House! It is more beautiful on the outside than the inside, and will provide you with an inside look and slice of history you will never forget. We missed it on our first visit, but after seeing the outside of it in person, simply had to see it on our second visit to Washington and were definitely not let down.
