When traveling, I often times will avoid many of the attractions that other travelers find it imperative to visit. In Rome, I had this feeling initially about Trevi Fountain. Sure I thought, it seems like a great place to check out, but with all that is in Rome and the hassle of dealing with a crowded attraction, I was nearly content to just skip Trevi Fountain. Luckily upon the urgings of a fellow traveler I was exploring with, I was summoned to join her on the trip to Trevi. What I experienced was well worth the voyage and changed my mind about what may or may not be a must see attraction. The beauty, the history and even the crowded surroundings had a likeable quality to it. Going here with low expectations is a must, as it will not offer the amazing experience as say the Colosseum or Pantheon. However the draw here is for a different reason and after a full day of learning and wandering, this is a nice attraction to simply come view, snap some photos, enjoy the beauty and do a bit of people watching. Trevi Fountain is absolutely gorgeous and a great place to visit in Rome.
