Singapore, Singapore
Universal Studios Singapore has not been open very long. According to its developers, it is going to be the only park of its kind in Southeast Asia for the next 30 years. Time will tell if they are right, but one thing is for sure: it’s spectacular!
Evidence of this is seen in the Battlestar Galactica duelling coasters. They are a pair of steel, duelling coasters that have made quite an impact in the world of theme park enthusiasts. One of the tracks is inverted and the other one is traditional. It also happens to be the tallest duelling coaster in the world. Parts of the ride take place over the park’s central lagoon.
The lagoon is called Lake Hollywood, and is home to one of the park’s most spectacular shows, which is performed every Friday and Saturday night, called the Lake Hollywood Spectacular. The pyrotechnics in this show are positively stunning, as is the musical score. It is all part of an event that the park calls Hollywood After Hours. This is a three-hour dining and shopping extravaganza that you can purchase admission to by itself.
