Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada
Nova Scotia’s Upper Clements Park is one of Canada’s finest amusement parks. The Tree Topper roller coaster is billed as their “flagship ride”. Towering over Annapolis Valley, this is the only wooden coaster east of Quebec.
The water flume ride is a perennial favourite as well. It has two 24 metre (80 feet) drops, whereas many similar rides in other parks only feature one of those. If you are not drenched at the bottom of the first one, the second one will surely finish the job! Although Upper Clements Park is not a fully fledged water park, it does also feature a 70 metre (230 feet) water slide as well.
Rock-O-Planes is one of the more distinctive thrill rides in this park. Often adults are more scared of it than the kids! It does go very high and flips in multiple directions at the same time. Uniquely, you get to control the manoeuverability of your ride vehicle yourself.
There are lots of other types of family activities here, too, such as mini-golf, laser tag and even a haunted house!
