Waterfall Gully

Adelaide, South Australia, Australia

Waterfall Gully is only 10 minutes from Adelaide and is in the Cleland Conservation Park. The main attraction is naturally the 18m waterfall that flows all year round and there is a weir at the bottom which was built in the late 19th century. In 1912 the Waterfall Gully Restaurant was built in the style of a Swiss Chalet and it was heritage listed in 1987 and is said to be haunted by the ghost of a firefighter who lost his life in 1926. Enjoy There are some great walking trails around the gully and surrounding hills with many having spectacular views of the gully in one direction and Adelaide in the other. Enjoy a scrumptious meal made from local produce, some good local wine at the restaurant or just grab a drink or ice cream from the kiosk. Plenty of parking is available.
