Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone, Wyoming, United States of America

User Rating     : 5 out of 5

Wyoming by itself is a beautiful state, but add in that it is the home of Yellowstone National Park and there are two reasons to visit. Yellowstone National Park is known for its geysers and bubbling hot springs and for its wildlife. On your drive or hike through you could see wild elk, bears, bison, and rare birds.

You can make your vacation there as active as you want to. You can hike, go camping, canoe, kayak, raft, go biking, horseback riding, llama packing, play golf, go cross country skiing, or downhill skiing. You can go for an Old West cookout or grill up your dinner at your campground. It is one of the most accommodating of all the national parks for offering opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors.

  1. Yellowstone in the Winter! 5 out of 5

Forget Vail, and Whistler! If you're looking for spectacular ski-ing, then Yellowstone National Park is the place to be. Between the various thermal areas you can track the local wildlife by following the crisp prints in the snow. It's amazing - just don't get too close.
