Amsterdam shore excursions

Many cruise liners dock at Amsterdam Port for just one day which may not seem enough time to explore the canals, bridges and ancient areas of the this European town.

However even with only a day or afternoon at your disposal there is still time to take in a boat ride on the canal, visit the Rijksmuseum, the Vincent Van Gogh Museum or the Stedelijk Modern Art Museum . Plus, no shore excursion into Amsterdam could miss out a trip to Anne Frank House.

Amsterdam Port is highly convenient for accessing Central Station and Dam Square in the city centre, and many visitors can’t resist a stroll around Amsterdam’s infamous red light district, with its narrow streets and fascinating architecture – not to mention its interesting inhabitants!

If the cruise itinerary allows a tour of the surrounding Dutch countryside as well as Delft and The Hague, is highly recommended.
