Aspen ski resort, North America, USA

Aspen Mountain offers some of the best skiing in North America. With an average of 137 inches of snowfall annually, a vertical drop of 3000 feet and 673 skiable acres, Aspen should not be missed. Aspen boasts 36 expert level trails. The remaining 35 trails are split between intermediate and advanced skiers. There are no trails for beginner level skiers.

The village of Aspen has a wide variety of lodging options from budget motels to high end resorts. Eateries range from sandwich shops to five star gourmet restaurants. There are numerous choices for Après Ski nightlife as well. Aspen should not be missed.

Aspen is a favourite place for my family to go on holiday. Even for those that don’t ski, Aspen is a wonderland. There are shops, nightclubs, antique stores, gourmet restaurants and pool halls. They have everything in Aspen.

Aspen Mountain, which is also called the Apex is for high level intermediate through extreme skiers. There are invisible vistas so this is not for the beginner level skier. The runs are maintained to perfection, very clean and free from debris. The staff is helpful and quite friendly. I must say, this is a must ski for expert level enthusiasts. Roseann Lahey
