Dingle Peninsula, Ireland

Dingle Peninsula, Ireland

The Dingle Peninsula is a famous walking area in Ireland, popular with visitors and a wonderful way to appreciate the coastline and rural areas of the Emerald Isle. The town of Tralee is the start and end point for the Dingle Way, which is a 153km circular walk that includes most of the towns and villages on the peninsula, as well as both coastal paths and hill walks.

The Blasket Islands can be seen as youtrek over Dunquin, and then the path tracks back to Smerwick Harbour before ascending Ireland’s second highest peak, Brandon Mountain (952m). A shorter walk of 18km connecting a number of early Christian sites is known as the Pilgrim’s Route.
