Dublin Literary Pub Crawl, Ireland

For a walk with a difference and to appreciate the literary culture in Ireland, one of the most interesting city walks is the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl. Dublin is the only city in the world to produce three Nobel literary prize winners, and many other famous novelists, essayists, playwrights and poets grew up in or spent time in Ireland’s capital.

A tour of some of Dublin’s finest pubs shows visitors where writers such as James Joyce, Brendan Behan, and WB Yeats spent time, and gives you the chance to taste some of the local brew. Listening to Irish traditional music in some pubs you will appreciate the world that inspired the likes of Ulysees, Confessions of an Irish Rebel, and many of the poems related to life in Dublin. Tour guides have a wealth of anecdotes, quotes and stories of the writers and their times in the pubs.
