Dubrovnik City Walk, Croatia

Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful cities in the Adriatic and it is steeped in the history of the Balkans. There are old, narrow streets and interesting cafes in the Old Town, and the view from the sea of this fortified city is one of the best in the world. Dubrovnik is also famous for its historic ramparts, which are very much a symbol of Dubrovnik. They can be easily walked and offer spectacular views across the city.

Dubrovnik’s walls were originally constructed in the 10th century and modified 300 years later. They stretch 1,940m and in some parts are 6m wide. There are several towers and also the Fort of St John, which defended the Adriatic approach and the port.
