English Harbour, Antigua

English Harbour lies on the southern side of the island of Antigue and is also referred to as Nelson’s Dockyard as Admiral Nelson was stationed here in the 1780s. The picturesque harbour is widely considered to be the best-preserved Georgian dockyard in the world and in the winter months hundreds of millions of dollars of mega yachts are moored here too.

You can walk easily around the harbour itself, imaging yourself lounging on the boats, or climb up into the hills behind for superb views of the turquoise water of the bay. The walk is short and on the flat, but the views certainly make it very worthwhile.
