The island of Guernsey is one of the main Channel Islands that lie in the English Channel and 28 miles off the coast of France. The influence from two different cultures creates a unique atmosphere with plenty from each adding to its individuality.

Popular as a destination for family holidays, Guernsey is a place where you’ll find something for all the family with such a diverse range of attractions on offer.

St Peter Port is the capital of Guernsey and is a bustling harbour town that is the perfect base from which to explore, you’ll find plenty of stylish restaurants, quaint cafes and chic bars lining the streets, as well as an abundance of shopping opportunities from high street names to designer boutiques, while the Old Quarter is well known for its antique shops. St Peter Port is such an atmospheric town with its bustling streets and is perfect for exploring in the day and night.

With 28.5 miles of spectacular cliff top pathways, the coastline of Guernsey is simply breathtaking and walking or cycling along these is a definite must where you can also spot plenty of wildlife.

The island’s beautiful sandy beaches are popular for both relaxing and fun family days, as well as plenty of watersports, sailing, angling and diving for the more daring amongst us.

Guernsey has an illustrative past, especially from World War Two, that is evident in its historical attractions including the interesting German Occupation Museum, and the German Underground Military Museum and Hospital that you must pay a visit to.

There are also lots of family attractions like the Guernsey Aquarium, and the Folk and Costume Museum, while adults will certainly like the Randall’s Brewery Tours. If you’d prefer to simply relax then you’ll find plenty of beautiful gardens like Castle Cornet Gardens, Saumarez Park and Victor Hugo’s Garden.
